Sorry y'all. Gotta disagree. Get that downvote button ready. I love Garbage, and the song rocks, but that chorus is a big nothing. Could have been SO much better. First verse goes right into it, second verse, there is a short intstrumental in between. Why? That makes no sense. Pop a little prechorus hook in there or an instrumental nugget. Something. Bridge sounds great, but again, lyrically, nothing. Just a repeat of the (weak) chorus. Seemed very uninspired. Maybe she was too happy to write the angsty stuff, which is great for her, actually.

I remember Shirley being interviewed over the phone on a radio station here in Melbourne, Aus and the male DJ just couldn't stop going on about how sexy she looked and that was the only reason she was fronting the band. She tried to steer him away to the music and the just released album, but he wouldn't let up. She eventually had enough, ripped him a new one and hung up. He then doubled down over the next few days replaying the swearing and the hang up...needless to say I stopped listening to that radio station after that. She is a performer playing a character when on stage (like all singers do). Shame none of the other band members were on the call...

Да уж, как будто вчера было! Ширли по сцене как мячик скакала)) Мы прилетели из Москвы в день шоу и специально в том же отеле на Невском поселились, где они были. А после концерта на reception нам сказали что они выписались и отбыли в Прибалтику:(( 9го июля в Барселоне идём в местный ДК на 2000 человек. 2ая попытка затусить с Garbage 25 лет спустя)))

Around 1:20 in the video is when I was triggered to make this statement, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!" I have always thought Shirley Manson is very pretty and over the top cute little woman and the band Garbage would not have been as succesful without her in it. And her singing voice is perfect for the type of songs they produce.
